Letter from the director
Home »Dear clients and colleagues
IWORDS Global has turned 10! It has been a great journey, challenging at times, but full of rewarding experiences: new lessons learned through every project, opportunities to co-develop participatory and innovative ways of delivering our solutions, strong friendships all over the world, and inspiring collaborations with global, regional, and local actors to support their mission through a comprehensive package of services tailored to the diverse needs of rights, development, and humanitarian actors and to the changing needs in the environment.
Thanks to clients like you we have reached this important milestone. And to keep meeting your needs in the future, we are evolving! Starting this month, IWORDS Global is becoming the umbrella company of three units: IWORDS Consulting, IWORDS Communications, and IWORDS Grassroots.
We are still one company, committed to the highest standard of quality, but this new structure allows us to expand our package of specialized services:
– IWORDS Consulting – This unit specializes in delivering solutions for social mission-driven organizations, networks, and collectives. Our services include project and programme design; monitoring, evaluation, and learning tools; generation of evidence; resource mobilization; and institutional strengthening.
– IWORDS Communications – This unit specializes in providing specialized language and content development services (including translation, copy-editing, interpretation, and more), communication solutions, and resources on inclusive communication to all stakeholders engaged in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and other global, regional, and local human rights, development, and humanitarian frameworks of action.
– WORDS Grassroots –This is our new social responsibility unit. We support locally-led groups in their efforts to create change at the community and individual level.
We do so through the provision of tailored support in strategic planning, project design, policies and accountability, and monitoring and evaluation.
What changes can you expect?
– New branding—including a new website, that takes you to three microsites, one for each specialized unit.
– A more structured package of services—by introducing this change, we have been able to document our know-how, expand our services to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders, and develop new processes.
– New expertise and human talent to support the specialized portfolio offered by each unit.
What is not changing?
– We remain a social enterprise, led by professionals from the South!
– If you are already using our services, you can keep communicating with the same contact people.
