Strategic planning
Our team brings extensive experience leading and facilitating strategic planning processes for organizations, initiatives, and networks—big and small—throughout the world. We consider these processes as great opportunities for organizations to stop and have an introspective look at themselves as live, changing entities and consider how far they have come in their work, where they are, and where they would like to be in terms of their social mission, long-term goals, and vision. Every client’s process is different and unique and we are happy to tailor our support to your particular needs.

Strategic plan evaluation and process facilitation
Client: the Latin American Consortium against Unsafe Abortion (CLACAI)
Year: 2014 and 2019
The Latin American Consortium against Unsafe Abortion (CLACAI) brings together a group of activists, service providers, and professionals. It helps reduce unsafe abortion in Latin America and promotes access to modern and secure information and technologies, within the framework of respect for sexual and reproductive rights and from a gender and equality perspective. Our team was hired to evaluate the achievements of the 2011–2014 and 2015–2019 CLACAI strategic plans. The evaluations emphasized the analysis of effectiveness, coherence, harmonization, accountability, sustainability, efficiency, and impact of the consortium’s work during those time periods. IWORDS Global then facilitated the process of developing new strategic plans, including a clear theory of change and a monitoring framework.
Experience working with donor mechanisms such as the Safe Abortion Action Fund, The Girls First Fund, Elevate Children, Stars Foundation (Impact Awards), No Lost Generation (through UNICEF), and With and For Girls Awards, among others.
